A porcelain sake set patterned on the Japanese cherry blossom celebrates the Yozakura, the Japanese tradition of enjoying the beauty of the Sakura (cherry blossom) at night.
Details: Yozakura, literally, “night Sakura”, is the Japanese tradition of enjoying the beauty of the Sakura (the cherry blossom) at night by gathering under lighted trees to celebrate natureâs beauty and the arrival of spring with sake and food. Kennedy James’ sake set is inspired by the Sakura pattern: the pentagon cup carved in the shape of the blossomed flower and the carafe, an opening in the form of a Sakura petal drifting in the wind. Now funding on Kickstarter.
