Video: Sun Sill Reflector by Lucy Norman

Here comes the sun: Sun Sill Reflector by Lucy Norman saves energy and helps keep us healthfully in sync with natural daily rhythms by reflecting sunlight indoors, using geolocation to track the sun even on cloudy days (when the reflected light is “still twice as bright as a standard bulb”).

Details: Reflector continuously directs daylight to a selected indoor area. Location, for sun tracking, is set with a smartphone app.

Designer: Lucy Norman is a 2013 Design Products MA graduate of London’s Royal College of Art, and holds a Product Design BSc from the University of Brighton, where she won the Engineering prize for best overall performance. She works in London as a freelance designer, and for her 2009-founded company, Lula Dot, that creates upcycled and sustainable lights, furniture and jewellery.

Source: Sun Sill Reflector will be shown as part of the Forces of Nature exhibition from March 13 to April 28, 2014 at 19 greek street, London.
