Darren Grainger is an Ottawa artist who gave up a career in high tech for the creative life. His mixed media works are often a blend of photos and sprayed paint that is splattered all over the original subject. One such piece is the one above which hangs in a restaurant in Grainger’s hometown where patrons are sometimes disturbed by the effect of the red paint that looks like blood showering out of a garden hose. A graphic depiction of the end of innocence.
