Manual Coffeemaker by Craighton Berman

manual_coffeemaker_craighton_berman.jpg Slow food, slow money, slow coffee: taking time to appreciate process is by design in the prototype MANUAL Coffeemaker by Craighton Berman, a single cup pour-over device that positions itself as a freestanding appliance rather than an accessory.

The glass funnel is double-walled for heat retention, and drips more slowly than most pour-overs, allowing for longer water-bean contact (and contemplation).

The wooden base fits over a kitchen scale, and develops a drip-driven patina over time. Funding on Kickstarter later this year.
