Gem Tables by Debra Folz

Trompe l’oeil: the reflections of light and transparencies found in gemstones, typically seen via facets, are depicted through layers of colour in Gem Tables by Debra Folz.

Details: Modular geometries allow for sculptural arrangements within a space as well as the transfer of colour to the floor surfaces they occupy. Welded steel based plated with zinc or bronze, low iron glass laminated with colored geometric shapes. Gem Tables will debut at Wanted Design during NYCxDesign 2014.

Designer: Boston, Massachusetts based studio specializing in furniture, tabletop and home accessory objects for exhibition and production “through material exploration and conceptual curiosity”. Folz has an undergraduate degree in Interior Design from Suffolk University and a Masters degree in Furniture Design from the Rhode Island School of Design.
