Eye of the beholder: Food for Thought Tray by Daphne Zuilhof invites deeper contemplation of food on our plate by serving it under a magnifying glass, leading us to consider the roles and perspectives that guide our perceptions - dead animal, or delicious steak?

Details: Made from bent birch laminate, glazed ceramic plate, acrylic optical lens, and a steel screw and wingnut. On display at the Konstfack student exhibition in the Spazio Rossana Orlandi, Milan Design Week, April 8 to 13, 2014.


Designer: Daphne Zuilhof is a design student with a Bachelor in industrial design from Eindhoven University of Technology, Netherlands, graduating this year with a Master in Formgiving Intelligence from Konstfack University College of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm.
