Nature meets math: Collection 2 Furnishings by Made in Ratio presents five new pieces, including the Tetra modular shelving system of infinitely stackable trapezoids, in European white oak, referencing both the tessellated scales of the tetra fish and the classic interconnected building block video game, Tetris.

Tetra modular shelving system

Details: The collection, inspired by "nature and mathematical geometry," and combining cutting edge materials and technology with the proven, also includes the sculpturally triangular Prism coffee table, in mirror-polished stainless steel and hardened glass, the biomorphic Stem Stool, cast from 100% recycled aluminum, the indoor/outdoor, material-driven Pleat Bench, molded from a single piece of Corian, and the 100% recyclable Pik stackable stool, made from recycled PET water bottles. Launching at Milan Design Week, April 8 to 13, 2014.

Designer: Based in London, Made in Ratio was established in 2013 by Australian-born, industrial designer Brodie Neill, who completed postgraduate studies at the Rhode Island School of Design in 2004, and made Time Magazine's annual Design 100 in 2008, with his @ chair, as one of the world's most influential designs of the year.
