Video: Stencil Aluminum Furniture by Julien Carretero
Cast in fabric: Stencil Aluminum Furniture by Julien Carretero is the result of a fascinating and intuitively simple, experimental process that reduces the cost and complexity of aluminum casting by pouring molten aluminum into heat-resistant fabric moulds.

Details: Bench, stool, table and lamp in cast aluminum, varnished waterproof MDF, and veneer.
The normally complex aluminum casting process is radically simplified into an "extremely basic and low-cost mould system" suitable for local production: high temperature-resistant fabric clamped in a steel stencil, instantly reusable, producing no waste.
Designer: Paris-born Julien Carretero studied industrial design in France and England, graduated with a Masters from the Design Academy Eindhoven, and established his studio in Brussels, Belgium, in 2012.
