House in Ishikiri by Tato Architects
by Ted Savage / November 1, 2013
Residential mashup: House in Ishikiri by Tato Architects, in Osaka, Japan, combines eclectic materials and colours, and unconventional approaches to harmonize with a hillside neighborhood of houses built over the course of 80 years.

Concrete walls, walls made from steel plates usually found surrounding Japanese construction sites, a black volume set on top of a flat, white roof - unexpected juxtapositions throughout add up to harmony. Photos: Shinkenchiku Sha. Via ArchDaily.
