History Travels With You Augmented Reality by Ilse Heesterbeek
by Ted Savage / October 24, 2013
Augmenting the dull: History Travels With You by Ilse Heesterbeek uses history and augmented reality, by way of GPS-enabled transparent smart screens on bus windows, to liven up the dull routine of the commuter experience by projecting geo-synchronized historical scenes and narrative onto the passing landscape.

This is Heesterbeek's Design Academy Eindhoven 2013 graduation project, in the Man and Public Space Department, on display along with the designer at the DAE during Dutch Design Week, October 19 to 27, 2013.
