Föhr House by Francesco Di Gregorio & Karin Matz
by Ted Savage / April 5, 2013
Reflecting its exotic, sea-swept location and rich nautical history, Föhr House by Francesco Di Gregorio & Karin Matz, in a village on the German North Sea island of Föhr, converts an old farmhouse hay storage interior.

With treated pine, blue polypropylene rope, and 3,200 hand-drilled ceramic tiles that reference an old local symbol of wealth - hand-painted Friesan tiles - from merchant seafaring days of old. Via ArchDaily. Photos by Francesco Di Gregorio.
