X House by Cadaval & Solà-Morales
by Ted Savage / January 22, 2013
An X-shaped home on a hillside at the edge of Barcelona, X House by Cadaval & Solà-Morales uses shape to solve several design goals, providing optimal, spectacular valley views, while avoiding such things as looking towards the neighbours.

Single-sided formwork and high-density concrete were used to create the structural skin. Entry is from a single point, streetside, located at the top of the two levels. Via ArchDaily. Photos: Sandra Pereznieto.
