Part of the specially created Sonos Listening Library at The Standard East Village created for the 2012 Noho Design District Festival, Soundalier was the focal point for a showcase exploring the choices available to architects and interior designers to create the perfect auditory interior environment.

During the festival acoustic experts were on hand in the library offering DIY tips to maximize sound experience through acoustic principles of reflection, absorption, and diffusion. The interior design of the library itself was modified according to these principles to create an acoustically refined environment to listen to music.

The "Soundalier" created by Mead and Adelman utilizes Adelman's contemporary metal chandeliers with the lighting elements replaced by Sonos's Play: 3 wireless speakers.
