Via @pArq, a refurbished apartment in Barcelona's Gothic Quarter that combines contemporary upgrades within a traditional structure.

"The kitchen, designed as a meeting space as well as meals, is cozy and elegant, includes influences from old cafes. The roof and the longitudinal wall that begins in the entrance hall are paneled in wood with stained solid pine slats, assembled by hand." More at YLAB Arquitectos.
