Method Homes and Balance Associates Architects have launched a new series of modular prefabricated homes called the M Series. The new offering consists of seven models ranging from 744 to 1,750 square feet with one and two bedroom options as well as models with flexible loft space. Shown here, the 3 module, 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath, 1,295 sq. ft. "M2".

An eco retreat, the prefab features energy efficient mini-split heating, dual flush toilets, low flow fixtures and a Morso high efficiency woodstove.

The home was sited to be unassuming from the front while offering the natural light and views of the greenbelt behind it.

The M2 consists of two factory-built modules and a site built, enclosed bridge section (above).

The project took 3 months start to finish, with only a small amount of waste generated and no exposure to the elements.
