Chester Stitched Wood by Oya-Meryem Yanik & Anastasiya Koshcheeva

Chester Stitched Wood is held together at the seams.

Details: A material innovation by Berlin-based Oya-Meryem Yanik and Anastasiya Koshcheeva, Chester Stitched Wood gives moulded wood a whole new perspective. The quilted plywood is held together at the seams in an ecological way without the use of glue.

“It is not only adorning but also cushioning and can be used either independently or in conjunction with plywood.” say the designers. “Thus Chester reveals new possibilities for the traditional bentwood production and makes hard seats hum.”
