To help process a bountiful harvest Naomi Bijlefeld has designed a special hand-operated processing machine that removes soil, unwanted leaves and peels from fruit and vegetables - and then also slices them into pieces for immediate use or freezing.

"Growing your own fruit and vegetables is all the rage. Yet, not everyone knows what to do with a bumper crop." says Bijlefeld.

Bijlefeld's hand-operated Farming Food Processor cleans, peels and slices fruit and vegetables into pieces, preparing the harvest for immediate use in the kitchen, or storage in the freezer.

Excess vegetation can then be recycled where it is needed most; as compost in the garden.

Bijlefeld was inspired by her own childhood experiences with kitchen gardens: "Where I grew up, everyone had a big vegetable garden, that was the norm."
