Tableware is the interface to information for student works in Mailin Lemke's [DIZAJN] exhibition concept.

DIZAJN is an exhibition concept for a store that shows student work from the FH Mainz, the University of Applied Sciences Mainz School of Design.

"The visitor can choose among different plates that are lying in front of him and plug the plates into a hole in the table. The RFIDs on the back of the plate lets the computer know which student work needs to get projected on the baldachin." says exhibition designer Mailin Lemke.

Rotating a plate with RFIDs embedded underneath sends a signal to the system and a new project gets shown.

Each plate has five different RFIDs for five different projects "so the visitor can have a look on a huge number of projects because every plate is different."

"The projects are categorized by verbs/nouns/adjectives that don't let the visitor know what kind of project he will see next. He just knows that the next work will e.g. have something to do with 'wood' or 'white' but he won't know if it is a film, a graphic or an interior design project."
