Milan 2012 Preview: Gridspace Tables by Andy Martin

Designer/architect Andy Martin will be showing a table that can be modified by the user, by inserting colour plugs into a grid, at the upcoming FuoriSalone show.

Says AMA, "Gridspace tables can be altered by the user by inserting colour square plugs into the grid and designing to one's own imagination creating a playful transient object of personality."


"Gridspace is the exploration of the rigour of geometry and the transparency of plastic. It is the development of Andy's fascination with materiality and elemental constructions."


"With the inherent restrictions of a grid form Andy looks to find the emotion through the raw liquid material of ABS and acrylic plastic in the transparency and colour."


The project is a partnership with PPP, a Venetian plastics product company, and will be shown in the Brera Design District of FuoriSalone Milan from April 17 to 21, 2012.
