A porcelain bird peeps through a bronze cage on its way to Basel. Work by David Wiseman will be presented along with pieces by Greta Magnusson Grossman, Wendell Castle and Jeff Zimmerman. See the rest of the week at Art MoCo after the jump.

The perennial theme of man and beast run through new work by Charming Baker, in an exhibition entitled Stupid Has a New Hero.

We might not consider music as a white-collar job, but Lun*na Menoh begs to differ with a series of paintings that focus on the (dirty) white collars of rock icons. It is, of course, much easier to focus on this when the artists happen to be headless.

Thick, black lines of pigment pen outline characters and objects in the settings of work by Thorsten Ruehle.

R20th Century Gallery will be showing these works at Design Miami/Basel, in Basel, Switzerland, from June 15-19, 2010.

The sweet girls from Ayako Rokkaku's paintings make the leap to her first anime film about a girl who joins the past to the future.
