Omikoshi, a line of stackable storage by Michael Yates, is a series of modules available in walnut, cherry or fir. This combination is made up of the three options (bank of 6 drawers, siding door unit and open shelf) plus one of two bases.

Rafael Morgan and Ben Collette have come up with a clever concept for plates printed with heat-sensitive ink that reveals messages about world hunger as the diner eats the food off his or her plate. This subversive tableware is intended to cause indigestion. Morgan suggests slipping some into an expensive restaurant or during a meal at some sort of political summit. The full text reads "Every 3.6 seconds someone dies of hunger.".

The Plazza soap dispenser is the first product from new Spanish brand Cocobain. Press the inner circle to lather up. A refillable container is hidden inside.

This Pharaoh chair, covered in Opus Romano glass mosaic tiles by Bisazza, is by Alfred van Elk and can be used indoors or out.

Some of us survive nicely on free USB flash drives that are picked up at trade shows as promotional items. However, there are other options out there, like this diamond-encrusted one by mii STOR. For a cool £15, 000, this is filed under jewellery, not office supplies.

This music chair design by Tosaint is a 3D G clef (website in Chinese only). Great for a jazz bar.
