“The YY table is handmade in London from Devon oak and smoked grey glass. The table features rolling bevels (a method more common to boat building) and faceted leading edges to the triangular legs, in order to achieve the subtly interconnecting geometries. All joints are custom designed as three-way mitred finger joints with interlocking square dowels, inspired by Japanese joinery techniques.
Fabricated by (and detailing developed with) David Vivian Woodwork in Brixton, London.” Photos: Paul Plews. mjonesarchitect.com
