Video: Dual House by Dimster Architecture

Two structures placed back-to-back appear to be one house in sunny Venice, California.

Details: The Vernon House, a passive solar house in Venice, California, is home for two related families. While appearing to be a single building, the two structures are placed back-to-back, allowing for separate garden entries at the ground level.

A transparent sculptural stair activates each end of the facade leading up to a large communal roof deck that also serves as a bridge between the two households.
