“Moving Forward is the claim of the OUTDOOR 2014, fifth edition. This year the Festival goes big, moving from outdoor interventions to a 5000 square meters indoor space, that was committed to 13 artists from 6 different nations, from the 25th of October, to the 22nd of November. In the last 4 years Street Art expanded in the Ostiense neighborhood in Rome, thanks to OUTDOOR’s work; after four editions, and after a long and prosper relationship with that area, OUTDOOR is now at a turning point. San Lorenzo neighborhood and Rome’s old Custom rooms, with a business of more than a century behind, seemed the most suitable place to reach the festival renewal; this is not a stop, but a new step.

A step which is a strong breakthrough for the Festival that has a declared goal expressed in its title, which is to involve the public in a mental and physical movement.

The 2014 Edition offers to the public a diverse set of artists: the repeated, marked and deformed actions by JBROCK. The coloured irony by Laurina Paperina. The word, actions and geometry by Blaqk. The delicate aesthetic research by Faith 47 in stark contrast with the sensual pop of Lady Aiko. The famous conceptual marks by DOT DOT DOT. The loss of usual spatial reference points by Thomas Canto. The encounter and confrontation with Brus, Ike and Hoek. The new and different stylistic and aesthetic researches by TNEC and Jack Fox, the character invasion by Galo, the tangled and pulsating iron skein that compose the outside installation by Davide Dormino, and to conclude the surreal and super colourful work of Buff Monster.”
