“This cabinet is a follow-up project of the Splendour Lender; a porcelain cabinet that reflects upon status and happiness, inspired by the so called Dutch ‘pronkkast’ (Show-off-cabinet). The Splendour Lender is a cabinet that brings porcelain to life. By inserting a coin people experience a joyful and musical moment. After usage the coin will be returned so the circle of money can go round.

Whereas the Splendour Lender reveals the real nature of money, as a medium to exchange goods and services, the Not My Cup Of Tea translates the financial greed of modern times. Maybe we should ponder this development, while sipping a cup of tea.”
