Mantis Lamp by Guillermo Zambrano

“The concept of the project comes from the movements of the religious mantis, an insect that lives in tropical habitats and moves back and forth in subtle movements in order to catch its pray. Mantis Lamp is a versatile Home object, made with Aluminum sheets of 1 mm of thickness folded in a metal folding machine and painted with sprayed paint. The object is powered by two different lines of 12v led lights each one of 25cm long.

The lamp can be used as a table lamp or as a reading lamp due to its capabilities to quickly change shape. The light is versatile and dynamic.”
