“An ottoman to sit on, accompanied by smaller tables set around it. A piece that is apparently simple, yet reveals its significant complexity and represents a decidedly original solution. The design draws its inspiration from the hexagonal stones, in staggered heights, that make up Giantâs Causeway in Ireland. It was created with an eye on ecology, because it is made by assembling small leather ‘leaves’ left over from the manufacturing process.
The ottomanâs shape is hexagonal, its base is in black chromed steel rod with uprights covered in leather, while the small tables are made from a folded sheet of metal painted in matt nickel bronze. Three-dimensional appearance and linearity, craftsmanship and geometry for a simplicity which is only apparent.”
