Glenlivet 70 Year-Old Single Malt Whiskey

Glenlivet 70 Year-Old Single Malt Whiskey

Extremely rare and rather expensive, Glenlivet 70 Year-Old Single Malt Whiskey is also the only whiskey to make it to the final 50 contenders for the 2012 Scotland Food and Drink Excellence Awards. Considered from that perspective, one could conclude that, for the moment at least, this is the finest single malt Scotland has to offer. Laid down in 1940, 100 decanters of 70cl and 175 decanters of 20cl were bottled in 2011, selling for £13,000 (about $20,850) and £3,200 ($5,150), respectively. Catch it if you can!
