There is definitely a mid-century feel to Marcel Ceuppens’ digital paintings. The Belgian artist has a knack with a lone figure, a smartly dressed man in a suit and a hat who carries a briefcase and walks quite silently. He is too cool not to smoke or worry about blood on the job, yet is the consummate family man and team player, despite his aloofness, perceived or otherwise. Do we trust him? Can we afford not to?
