If you’re into tiny collectible designer gizmos, the Verbal x Kim Jones Louis Vuitton Playbutton, a music player-in-a-button that pins on a shirt or jacket, may fit your spec. Verbal, of Tokyo-based design collective, Ambush, teamed up with Vuitton men’s ready-to-wear style director Kim Jones, to put a personal playlist of 10 tunes, and an LV logo in spring/summer 2012 colours, onto only 30 of these lil gadgets, and packaged them in a cool gift box, for the latest issue of Vogue Hommes Japan. The Playbutton is a player stripped down to the bare basics: controls for stop/start, skip, and volume, and a rechargeable lithium battery that shares the headphone jack. It uses the cool open source Ogg music format, and cannot be erased or recorded on. Chances are slim of actually getting hold of one of the 30, but you can choose from a selection of others in the Playbutton eshop. Next, video?
