
Just opened with a first location in London, Union Jacks is the latest concept restaurant from our favourite celebrity chef, Jamie Oliver, with wraparound decor by UK hotel design specialists, Blacksheep. A distinct retro flair is at work here, with a diner look and a menu of wood-fired flatbreads and classic British flavours, updated with the Oliver twist, along with US pizza don Chris Bianco styling. Ingredients are almost entirely locally sourced. Mmmm…the Red Ox, perhaps: oxtail and brisket, slow braised in Worcestershire sauce, Sparkenhoe Red Leicester, watercress and fresh horseradish? Or maybe go lighter with the Woodman: mixed field and wild mushrooms, Westcombe Cheddar, pickled red onion, tarragon and chervil. When in London… A second location is gearing up!
