It’s back to the Latin—”on firm ground”—for the Terra Firma by Gary Fidele for Clomm collection of unisex wristwaches that match up precision engineering with down-to-earth, each-piece-unique natural material dials. The design, as you can see, is elegantly minimal and geometric, with dials in oak (above), rosewood, cork and black and white ceramic. Premium materials also include aerospace grade stainless steel, sapphire crystal, Swiss movement, Italian leather, and a German power cell. It’s the work of Brit designer Gary Fidele, for his founded-in-2011 boutique watch brand, Clomm (which is 12th century Anglo-Saxon for “to grasp”, in case you were curious). $450-490.
