
This concept version of the Subaru BRZ coupe, an STI from Subaru’s performance tuning division, is being shown this week at the Los Angeles International Auto Show. Instead of a turbocharged engine, the rear-wheel drive STI features a stock direct-injected 2.0-litre Boxer four that sits lower and farther back in the engine well enhancing torque and power (and lowering the center of gravity). The car also has a specially tuned suspension, Brembo brakes, and is 120 mm lower to the ground than anything else currently made by Subaru which should add up to some impressive handling.
