Sounding a little like molecular gastronomy meets technical outerwear, the Stone Island Liquid Reflective Field Jacket finish is achieved by hand spraying the fabric with glass microspheres, followed by oven drying, making the light refraction and colour intensity values of each jacket unique. The tiny glass spheres are used, for one, in reflective gear for highways; the final composite is 42% glass fibre, 33% polyester, and 25% special resin, and the lining is 100% nylon. Features include flap pockets with stud closures, a foldaway nylon hood, hidden zipper with buttons, and a detachable arm badge. Definitely not recommended for sneaking around at night, as the video illustrates. £825 (about $1,310).
