The Sonastand, a combination iPhone stand and audio enhancer, is one of those clever little gizmos you wouldn’t have imagined, but makes sense when you see it. The extremely pocket-sized item props up your iPhone at a convenient angle, and produces louder, clearer sound by directing the output from the iPhone speaker through a tiny passive horn, no batteries required. It is milled from a solid block of aluminum, with a cool textured designer surface that results from 20,000 precisely placed tiny cuts, using a CNC milling machine operated by the two inventors (a machine purchased with their life savings, in order to pursue their dream of making stuff just like this). Sonastand fits the iPhone 4/4S, with sizes for naked, skinned, and cased. The start-up is crowdfunding now on Kickstarter.
