The PQ A-Frame by Ron Arad elegantly addresses the problem of affordable custom fit with a simple A-shaped bend in the one-piece wire frame. Move the crosspiece up or down the A to draw the lenses closer together or further apart, to arrive at the ideal configuration for most any combination of nose and head shape. Very cool. And even handier than you may at first think, because, as Arad wisely points out, “sometimes noses grow over time”! The distinctive framing wire continues, corded, through to the sprung hinge, which allows the frames to naturally close when removed. Available in many styles.
