In the City of Light, French pastry chef Pierre Hermé set out to marry his own fine chocolates with perfectly paired whiskeys from Parisian purveyor, La Maison du Whiskey, and the Pierre Herme Paris & La Maison Du Whisky Gift Box was born.  That was 2008, the Box was a hit, and now it’s been nominated in the World Wide Whiskey Design Awards, a first time, online, people’s choice contest. The gracefully masculine packaging presents four pairings: Powers whisky with Sensation chocolate, Dalmore and Mathilda, Nikka Pure Malt White and Intense, Elijah Craig and Tsuki. Sweet. Some situations may call for a stack of these, while for those restrained and reflective moments, just the one should hit the spot!
