Designer Michael Young has created the world’s first recyclable material designer over-ear headphones, the Noisezero O+ Eco is made from recyclable stainless steel, aluminium and cornstarch bio-plastics. Happily, also included is serious acoustics; the extra large 50mm titanium coated HD driver with neodymium iron boron magnet generates powerful sound and a state of the art titanium coated high rigidity driver diaphragm eliminates unwanted vibration. An internal double bass reflex chamber design and tuned bass port produce strong bass, while balanced air pressure tuned treble ports provide clear treble.
Says Eops, “By using cornstarch bio-plastics to build the ear-buds acoustics chamber, natural feeling mid tone can be achieved. During usage, the soft genuine sheep leather ear pads can effectively cover the entire ear to provide extreme wearing comfort and passive noise isolation for best audio results.” An included microphone and remote module on the headphone cable is an Apple approved three-button version, letting users control playback as well as volume level for the latest iPhone, iPad and iPod.
Noisezero O+ Eco is a collaboration of music technology brand EOps, designer Michael Young and Paris design store colette.
Also new and eco from EOps and Michael Young; the 0utercover Sleeve+, a slim computer sleeve built with a recycled PET fabric created using a state-of-the art sonic wielding technique. Michael Young explains in the video above.
