The Nike Holiday 2011 Snowboard Boots line-up features a ton of Nike design innovation and snowboarding team R&D—Zoom Air cushioning system, Warming Blanket Strobel Technology inspired by NASA’s spacesuits, Nike Free for increased board feel, Nike Lace Lock, many patents pending—spread across three models: the Kaiju, the Zoom Force 1, and the newcomer “weapon of choice,” the Vapen (above). The Vapen takes up from the standard-setting, award-winning Kaiju, using the same last as the Kaiju, and Kaiju-like webbed lace-loops.
