Sneakers on a mission, lup Lifestyle Footwear (that’s LOOP) is a new line of all-purpose shoes created to fund a meet-up, showcase and mentoring space in New York City for young designers. The sneakers are designed with a focus on ping-pong, giving them what promises to be a unique feel. A cool range of materials and colourways ensures a fit for any occasion, and these are one run only. Behind the project are a pair of established footwear creators—Daniel Baily (Nike, DC Shoes), Omar Bailey (Jay Z RocaWear, custom work for major league athletes)—and one more-entrepreneur-than-designer, Luke Deering, co-founder and CEO of EntrepreneurFinder. The project is being funded now on Kickstarter, with a $145,000 goal, profits going to setting up the mentoring space.
