Here at MR, we are dedicated fans of compact combinations and things that fit together like hand in glove, and the KANDO Backpack/Tent Concept delivers on both by fully integrating a tent into the backpack experience. Designed for minimum weight, maximum compression, and hassle-free handling, the one-man, half-arch tent is easily erected with tensioning guy wires, features an integrated tent pole for interior roominess, and stows snugly in the pack. The 33-liter backpack offers simple access with its roll-up closure, and comes with a bonus: the center section zips apart into an 18-liter daypack. Wow. KANDO is an iF Concept Award 2012-winning Bachelor’s thesis project by Swiss industrial design student Damian Schneider, with Matthias Scherzinger. Go Swiss design!
