The iM2 microphone for iOS is a plug-in add-on that sports a pair of condenser microphones, the same ones found on Tascam’s DR-series flash memory recorders, and like the DR-series are adjustable over 180-degrees. The iM2 has an onboard preamp and analog-to-digital converter which means it can capture sound levels up to 125dB without distortion.
