Meticulously designed by photographers for photographers with the highest gear standards, the iErnest Camera Strap takes a simple piece of equipment and makes it just right, adding a cool functional feature along the way. Intended for medium to heavy cameras, it is crafted from fine Italian leather, and comes in two lengths, one for the taller among us. All connectors are heavy duty metal—no plastic involved—and the strap cannot be separated: rings are welded closed, loop joints reinforced. Then, a shock absorption system: replaceable elastics that cushion the hanging weight, taking strain off necks and cameras, particularly welcome with heavier lenses. A concealed neoprene neck pad provides additional comfort, and leather disks prevent scratching where the triangle rings connect to the camera. The iErnest comes with a heavier set of replacement elastics for weightier cameras, and replacement O-rings if D-rings are not to your taste. Of course, there is a label for it all: Leather Smartware. Fair enough. In Cognac or Black, available online for €119 (about $159).
