Floating high above the many mass-produced mixto tequilas that have acquired their name by meeting the Mexican government’s 51% rule for minimum real tequila content, Grand Mayan Tequila is a true tequila, made from 100% blue agave grown in the Mexican state of Jalisco. Grand Mayan is an extra añejo, the highest official grade, aged for a minimum of three years in oak casks. The result is dark amber, fragrant, smooth and eminently sippable, on a par with fine cognac and single malt whiskey (and top-shelf rum!). The bottle is hand-painted ceramic. Only 3,000 liters are produced each year.
