“Bordeaux tradition, frontier spirit,” says Captûre Wines, releasing three new reds from their organically farmed estate on Pine Mountain in Sonoma County. The latest release includes a 2009 Alliance, a Bordeaux Left-Bank style blend, ($90, already sold out); a 2009 Harmonie, a well-balanced Bordeaux blend (pictured, $120); and a 2009 Révélation, their signature wine, a Pauillac-inspired Cabernet Sauvignon ($135). It’s Californian terroir meets French master winemaking skills—the life partner/master winemaker team of May-Britt and Denis Malbec, brought their well-hailed game from Château Latour in Bordeaux to frontierland America, founding Captûre in 2008.
