Safety first, right? The 1988 innovators of anti-locking breaking systems for bikes, BMW Motorrad now offers ABS as standard equipment in all of its models from 2013 on (that’s the 2013 BMW K1300R above). It’s far ahead of the Euro curve, where ABS will be required in all bikes in European Union countries by 2016. ABS significantly increases riding safety by improving handling and stopping distance in many emergency braking situations. As for the K1300R, new for 2013 it will also be available with a Dynamic package which includes heated grips, an on-board computer, LED turn indicators, a sport windshield, Electronic Suspension Adjustment and a shift assist.
