Call it a mid-range lust magnet if you will (as one creative auto scribe does), the BMW Concept 4 Series Coupe is sleekly styled, aggressively sporty, low-slung and distinctly sexy…all the precursors of sports car lust, for sure. The Concept 4 is a preview of the future of the iconic 3 Series Coupe, and what BMW bills as the zenith of this line’s design cycle, the ultimate evolution. It’s longer, lower, wider by inches than the 3. The interior is cloaked in leather—sustainably tanned leather—right down to the leather-clad cup-holders, and there’s natural chestnut trim. The exterior concept colour is a specially developed Liquid Metal Silver. Meatier specs are still scarce, but you can see it for yourself at its Detroit Auto Show debut in January (the 2013 North American International Auto Show runs Jan. 14-17), with the production version rolling off the line soon after.
