Here’s a sneak peek, billed as genuine LEAK, at the flat-screen Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay V1 TV, set to drop in May. The two models, V1-32 (32″) and V1-40 (40″), add to the roster in B&O’s recently launched Play family of more price-accessible high end audio-video gear. The V1′s offer B&O retro-futuristic styling in chrome and painted steel, a new high-performance Video Engine platform with auto source detection and a graphical interface, a DNLA media player for easy connection with all kinds of digital devices (whatever is DNLA-compatible), media playback from smartphone and tablet via Apple and Android apps, and a space in back to tuck away an Apple TV unit. To be expected, mounting options are many: floor-standing, tabletop, wall with swivel-out, or ceiling. The price tags: V1-32 at €2,399 (about $3,170); V1-40 €2,899 (about $3,831).
