Managed or not, leaks and sneak peaks are always fun, as is the case with the Audi RS4 Avant 2012, the upcoming new hot wagon performance version of the Audi A4 Avant. It is a powerhouse monster, with a 450-horsepower 4.2-liter V8 engine and seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, delivering power to all four wheels via Audi’s quattro permanent all-wheel drive. That turns into 0 to 60 in 4.7 seconds, and a chip-capped top speed of 155 mph, or 173 mph with the ungoverned option. Body engineering and styling are equally aggressive, with the body riding 20mm lower than the A4, a cool hexagonal grille with honeycomb insert, massive lower air intakes, LED headlamps, rear diffuser, and polished aluminum wheels. The interior is entirely black, with the exception of a Moon Silver roofliner option, with all-leather is available. The official reveal comes at the Geneva Motor Show in March, meanwhile, you can check out some test track spy video below, shot late last year, with a sweet car sounds soundtrack… The RS4 will start at €76,600, and is likely Europe-only.
