French casual fashion outfitter A.P.C. teams with Italian artisanal eyewear crafter L.G.R. for Spring 2012 with two versions of A.P.C. x L.G.R. Sunglasses. L.G.R. is Luca Gnecchi Ruscone, founder of this shop where each pair is handmade by a single expert craftsman. Both versions feature 100% UV protection from anti-glare coated, mineral-tempered glass. Lenses in the brown colourway are also photochromatic for automatic adjustment to light levels. The frames are fabricated from cellulose acetate, allowing them to be shaped without heat, and they are hand-polished without solvents or paints, resulting in an exceptionally silky smooth finish.
